Omarion has had an interesting career journey. During the height of B2K, Omarion was the second coming. Some compared Omarion to Michael Jackson. In terms of popularity, Omarion was having that kind of impact on the teens and tweens of the early-2000s.
Omarion launched his solo career and had hit records. At the time of Omarion’s debut, he had to contend with massive releases from Usher and Mario. While Omarion did good, he was somewhat lost in the shuffle. After Omarion released his second album, his career took an odd turn.
Omarion briefly signed with Young Money, before abruptly leaving the deal. Once considered the next major industry star, Omarion faded into irrelevance. By 2012, Omarion was forgotten, but resurfaced when Rick Ross added him to Maybach Music. The “major announcement” and press conference left a lasting impact on social media. Omarion released a few mixtapes and had minor hits. However, Omarion returned to the spotlight on “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.”
Omarion released “Post To Be” during “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” season one. A year later, “Post To Be” became the biggest hit in Omarion’s career. After leaving “Love & Hip Hop,” Omarion saw his popularity fade, once again. Ironically, Omarion would get tied into a “Love & Hip Hop” storyline without appearing on the show. When Lil Fizz dated Omarion’s baby mama, Apryl Jones, O remained silent.
Omarion was labeled “unbothered” for how calm he was when speaking on it. As a result, Omarion embraced the phrase. After doing a fragrance, O has a book coming. To that end, Omarion is naming the book Unbothered. Specifically, Omarion is focusing on mental health, spirituality, and physical wellness.
