Pharrell receives congratulatory response on Twitter for #GRAMMYs win #BestSoloPopPerformance
Even though Pharrell released “Happy” during the summer of 2013, it was the following year when the song took off. It became the anthem of 2014, something like a modern version of “I Believe I Can Fly.” Either way, it is the current motivational anthem for most people.
Pharrell stated that he came into “Happy” wanting to create something to change the mood. Those who follow the news know the 2013-2015 period has not brought much happiness from the outside. But, Pharrell created happiness from within and brought about a new trend.
Tonight, Pharrell has taken home the Grammy for Best Solo Pop Performance with “Happy.” This record beat out music from Sam Smith, John Legend, Sia, and Taylor Swift. In response to this, the fans on Twitter gave Pharrell tons of positive energy.
