Pooh Shiesty will be sentenced on April 7

Pooh Shiesty has been battling multiple federal firearms cases, over the past year and a half. This includes being involved in a shooting where a security guard was hit, at the King of Diamonds strip club in Miami last Memorial Day, as well as a sneaker deal gone wrong, in Miami, in October 2020.

The 1017 rapper recently avoided a life sentence on these charges, by entering a guilty plea. This involved a firearms conspiracy charge. Shiesty is now looking at eight years in prison.

Now, a sentencing date for the 1017 Records artist has now been set. According to Commercial Appeal, this will take place on April 7, at 2PM, in a Miami courthouse.

The exact sentencing for Shiesty is expected to be 97 months. District Judge K. Michael Moore will be who determines this in the end, though.

Shiesty’s legal team has since maintained his innocence, and say that he “doesn’t pose a danger to the community and to date, has been compliant and demonstrated respect for the rule of law highlighting his willingness to abide by any bond conditions the Court may impose.”

This all comes after a massive breakout 2021 for Shiesty. His “Back In Blood” single ft. Lil Durk was peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and is 3x platinum in the US. His “Shiesty Season” mixtape also debuted at number two, on the Billboard 200 chart. Shiesty released his “Federal Contraband Freestyle” on Christmas Day, as well.
