From the moment “Power” released its first trailer, it captured all of the hip hop fans. The Starz series has the 50 Cent connection, which gave it a built-in audience. But, great acting and great storytelling has kept the show around.
Season three began this past Sunday and it featured Ghost (Omari Hardwick) starting his new life with Angela (Lela Loren). No longer a drug kingpin, Ghost has his nightclubs. He also has Tommy (Joseph Sikora), his former best friend gunning for him.
Last season ended with Ghost supposedly killing Kanan (50 Cent), but trailers showed he survived. Many tuned in on Sunday to see Kanan and to see what will transpire between Ghost and Tommy. Next week will show more of that, meanwhile Starz is leaving fans assured they will have more of Tommy and Ghost for at least two more years, renewing them for two seasons.
