In Louisiana, a seventh grade student is outraged. He made a serious accusation against his principal, over his hair. According to the boy, the principal called him out over his hairstyle. The boy claims the principal asked him if his braids meant he was some kind of gangster. As a result, the boy’s parents are upset and speaking out.
The little boy’s name is Dalon Thorn and his mother, Ashley, spoke out. She said she picked him up from school and he told her what happened. Dalon attends Calvary Baptist school, which is located in Slidell. That is a suburban town that is 37 minutes away from New Orleans. Dalon’s mother, Ashley Thorn, said when she picked Dalon up and asked him how his day was going, he told her what happened.
Dalon Thorn, according to his mother, Ashley Thorn, was met with questions over his hairstyle. The boy began wearing braids, which does not go against the school’s policy. However, Dalon claims his principal pulled him to the side and asked if the braids meant he was a gangster. In addition, the principal was recorded saying he’s never dealt with a student wearing their hair like that. As a result, the Thorn family has spoken out.
