Coming into 2017, it looked like it was a three-way race between Future, Drake, and DJ Khaled for the hip hop crown. But, Quavo is definitely the dark horse who is owning the summer. Earlier this year, Migos completed their takeover, finally topping Billboard.
Quavo has shown up more as a solo artist since Migos run to close 2016 and open 2017. The beauty of Quavo’s recently success is how he has done his damage as a guest artist. In many ways, Quavo in 2017 is comparable to Lil Wayne, one decade ago.
An interesting stat was pointed out by the people, as Quavo’s domination is showing up big. He already did his Spotify takeover, where he had the most streams. Now, he has ten songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and then two of those in the top ten.
