Quavo pays tribute to Takeoff on Instagram
Friday was finally the funeral of Takeoff, as it was held in his hometown of Atlanta. This was at State Farm Arena, which was free to Georgia residents. Justin Bieber, Chloe Bailey and others delivered amazing performances. Quavo, Offset, Pierre “P” Thomas, Drake, and more also spoke on how huge losing Takeoff was.
Quavo was with Takeoff, at the time of his passing. The two were at a local Houston bowling alley, when an argument ensued, between Quavo and a group of men, during a dice game. Things soon escalated outside, with 10 shots being fired. Takeoff unfortunately got caught in the middle of the crossfire, and was hit in the head and torso.
However, Quavo is now finally breaking his silence online, on Instagram, about Takeoff’s passing. He just penned a lengthy and beautiful note on Instagram, about how much he’s mean to him, throughout their life. The two grew up together, as Quavo was Takeoff’s uncle.
“It’s so hard to tell you Ima miss you because you always with me and we did everything together,” he wrote. “Since we were kids you have been by my side lookin up at me, them eyes waiting on me to make the next move.”
