Quavo subliminally disses Offset for Takeoff tattoo
Last week, Offset trended heavily on social media, due to him getting a large tattoo of late Migos rapper, Takeoff. Offset had been in the group with Takeoff and Quavo, prior to Takeoff being accidentally shot in the middle of a shootout in Houston, last fall. That incident occurred outside of a bowling alley, where Quavo was also there, and happened after a heated dice game, which Quavo participated in
Meanwhile, it appears that Quavo is now dissing Offset, for getting this tattoo. In the caption for several new photos posted to Instagram, Quavo said “Rocket power, it’s in you, not on you.”
As a result, many fans connected that caption to the Takeoff tattoo that Offset inked on his back. Many voiced their displeasure at the caption, by explaining how wrong it is.
Quavo and Offset reportedly fell out early last year, which soon resulted in Quavo and Takeoff releasing music together. In the fall, Offset began releasing his own solo music. In October 2022, Quavo and Takeoff put out their “Only Built For Infinity Links” album, which went on to debut at number seven in the US, on the Billing 200 chart.
Quavo has since put out various solo singles this year, such as “Without You,” “Greatness,” and the latest “Honey Bun.” Without You was a Takeoff tribute which he performed at the Grammys, with Maverick City. It was there that Quavo and Offset reportedly got into a fight, over Offset not being allowed to participate in the tribute.
