Almost exactly a month ago to the day, Rich Homie Quan was rumored to have signed a deal with Def Jam that was never confirmed. If Rich Homie Quan did end up signing with Def Jam, it wouldn’t really come as a shock to many. Last winter, his label-mate, Trinidad James, built a pretty strong buzz that ended with a Def Jam deal.
When the spring and summer season hit, Rich Homie Quan ended up posting a major hit with “Type of Way.” Earlier this year, “Differences” had also begun doing well on the radio. Rich Homie Quan is still making his way through the game and it’s all due to the release of his last mixtape.
AllHipHop.com caught up with Rich Homie Quan and they discussed the possibility of him signing to Def Jam. New life has been breathed into Atlanta’s hip hop scene and it’s guys like Rich Homie Quan making it happen. During the interview, Rich Homie Quan also spoke on the United States’ dealings with Syria.
