Rihanna earns her first diamond single as a lead artist, with “We Found Love,” featuring Calvin Harris

Rihanna and Calvin Harris’ “We Found Love” goes diamond 

Rihanna has had plenty of memorable classic records, over the course of her 18-year career as a star. While not having released an album since 2016, Rihanna’s records are still streamed heavily, including “We Found Love” with Calvin Harris, from 2011.

According to Chart Data, Rihanna and Calvin have just reached another major milestone, with We Found Love. It’s sold over 10 million units in the US, and has been certified diamond, as a result of that. Therefore, it is also Rih and Calvin’s first diamond single, each.

We Found Love went on to appear on Rihanna’s sixth studio album. “Talk That Talk,” in 2011. That project went on to debut at number three in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart.

Meanwhile, Rihanna has had a hot start to 2023 as well, as she performed at the Super Bowl halftime show, in Glendale, AZ. It was there that she also revealed that she’s pregnant with her second child, as she’s having this child with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. The two initially welcomed their first child in May 2022. It was also revealed at CinemaCon on Thursday, that Rihanna will appear in the 2025 “Smurfs” film.
