Rihanna to perform “Lift Me Up” at Oscars
Rihanna will perform “Lift Me Up” at Oscars
Rihanna has been one of the biggest trending topics this month, after performing at halftime of the Super Bowl, in Glendale, AZ. It was there that Rih also went viral for confirming her second pregnancy. This was as a result of showing off her growing baby bump. A rep for Rihanna went on to confirm this pregnancy after the halftime performance, as well.
Rihanna will also be performing at the upcoming Oscars/Academy Awards. This will be taking place on March 12, at the Dolby Theatre, in Los Angeles. Rih is set to perform her “Lift Me Up” song, which appeared on the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack.
Lift Me Up served as a tribute to Black Panther star Chadwick Bozeman, who passed away from cancer, in August 2020. Wakanda Forever was released last fall, and did very well, even with Bozeman not appearing in it.
Lift Me Up was also Rihanna’s first solo record since 2016. It went on to debut at number two in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Rihanna is also rumored to release her first album since 2016, this year, as she recently spoke about wanting to do so, in her latest British Vogue cover story.
