Rod Wave allegedly choked ex-girlfriend at her home
Back on April 24, Rod Wave was arrested in his hometown of St. Petersberg, Florida. This was on a felony charge of domestic battery by strangulation. It was unclear at the time, what exactly happened.
According to The Tampa Bay Times, Rod came to his ex-girlfriend’s home, and got aggressive with her. 911 was soon called, twice. This is said to be the mother of Rod’s two children, as well. They had been together for four years.
This woman was reportedly sleeping in her home, when Rod suddenly entered. Rod ranted about her sleeping with other men, and began choking her. Rod left the home, prior to the arrival of police, though. The woman ended up having a scratch “near the left center of her neck.” She didn’t want any medical treatment, though.
Rod went on to be released from the Pinellas County Jail on a $5,000 bail on May 3. He also plead not guilty to his charges. The announcement of Rod’s arrest, came the same day that he announced that his new “Beautiful Mind” album, is coming on June 3. In April 2021, Rod scored his first number one album, with “SoulFly.”
