It ended up being close to a decade before Saigon released The Greatest Story Never Told, which was to launch his soon-to-be-legendary rap career. Saigon had teamed up with Just Blaze and was signed to Atlantic Records. Four years would pass before Atlantic Records would allow the popular Brooklyn mixtape rapper to leave the label.

Early in 2011, Saigon quietly released what was initially one of the highest-anticipated albums in years. Months after releasing The Greatest Story Never Told, Saigon announced he was working on his sophomore album. For months, the album did not have a title, but Saigon soon revealed the title to be Bread and Circuses.

The official title of Saigon’s album was The Greatest Story Never Told 2: Bread and Circuses and the release date was set for September 11. In typical Saigon fashion, however, the album has been met with a delay. While still set for a September release date, The Greatest Story Never Told 2 will be released on November 6.
