Another major player from Chicago is Sir Michael Rocks. Between the resurgent veterans and the energetic newcomers, Chicago hip hop has become crowded. In spite of this, Sir Michael Rocks has been able to find his niche. Considered one of the most-popular Chicago rappers, anticipation has been high for Lap of Lux.
Over a month ago, Sir Michael Rocks released “Now You Do,” the first single taken from the new mixtape. From there, Sir Michael Rocks has released several tracks off the project. The latest actually came earlier today in the form of “Reservations,” which would be the final Lap of Lux leak.
However, as promised, on August 2 at 2:00 pm EST, Sir Michael Rocks delivered, making good on his promise. Lap of Lux was released and now fans of the rising emcee have new material to enjoy. In the wake of Chief Keef and Rockie Fresh getting major label deals, Sir Michael Rocks could perhaps be next?
