Snoop Dogg questions why a billion streams isn’t a million dollars

Snoop Dogg is overlooked as a businessman in hip hop. However, he made major waves when he purchased Death Row Records. Immediately after the purchase, all of Death Row’s music disappeared from streaming platforms. Similar to Jay-Z, Snoop was disappointed in the earnings his own music was making from streaming. He was more disappointed in Death Row’s earnings. As a result, Snoop Dogg called the industry out when he did a panel with an Apple executive.

Snoop Dogg is primarily viewed as a cultural figure, due to the work he does. The most visible venture he has is his show with Martha Stewart. While they are an unlikely duo, Snoop and Martha Stewart have a highly successful partnership. In addition to the show, they do commercials and make appearances together. The two have been working together for almost ten consecutive years. However, music is Snoop’s first love, he just wants to be fairly compensated.

Snoop Dogg is one of the highest selling rappers of all-time. That is another overlooked fact. At one point, an article was written about Snoop that said he wasn’t a businessman. However, Snoop has put in tons of work that says quite the opposite. In addition, he purchased Death Row Records. After that, he secured distribution for the label.
