The key to remaining relevant over a long span of time is to stay consistent and having the ability to reinvent oneself. Coming into 2013, Snoop Dogg is officially a twenty year veteran in hip hop. Through these twenty years, Snoop Dogg has gone from being a controversial gangsta rapper to becoming a child-friendly entertainer.
After releasing his 2011 album, Doggumentary, Snoop Dogg felt it was time for yet another reinvention. Making several mainstream-oriented songs, Snoop Dogg decided to take his love for smoking to the next level. Recently, Snoop Dogg reinvented himself, inspired by Bob Marley, now calling himself Snoop Lion.
Snoop Lion’s debut album is Reincarnated, which is Snoop Dogg’s twelfth studio album and it features appearances from hip hop’s biggest names. Among the people featured on this album is Drake, T.I., Chris Brown, and Busta Rhymes. Reincarnated is Snoop Dogg’s new album and it is due on April 23, 2013.
