Kawhi Leonard shocked the sports world early this morning around 1:30AM by signing with the hometown Los Angeles Clippers, the other hometown team, (Lakers), along with passing on staying with the Raptors after they just won the NBA Finals. In addition to Leonard, they Clippers also traded for MVP candidate Paul George from the Thunder in exchange for four unprotected first round picks, one protected first-rounder, and two pick swaps.
Adding Leonard and George automatically makes the Clippers title contenders with their current roster which also includes Patrick Beverly, Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, and more. The pain also definitely stings in Toronto as they lost their Finals MVP and Danny Green. This also brings the question if the Drake sports curse is officially back.
Drake is known for these sports curses because many of the team’s apparel that he wears usually ends up not prospering one way or the other. Once Drake’s hometown Raptors won it all over the Warriors in six games last month, many thought that the curse was officially dead. That conversation is now back on with the departure of Leonard. Losing him hurts Toronto badly as it pretty much takes their chances of repeating as champions let alone even making the Eastern Conference Finals slim.
What if drake is actually the reason raptors lost out on Kahwi?….#drakecurse

Suffering such a big loss after the biggest win ever. Does this mean the Drake curse is back alive?
