Soulja Boy threatens Lil Yachty over Twitch streaming

Soulja Boy has a thing about being the first rapper to have done things. In 2019, he infamously had a meltdown over Drake, on “The Breakfast Club.” However, Soulja Boy did get Drake to admit that his hit single, “Miss Me,” was inspired by “Kiss Me Thru The Phone.” After that, Soulja briefly gave Drake his props. Now, he is upset again, since Lil Yachty is claiming to be the first rapper to stream on Twitch, and that Drake is co-signing it.

Soulja Boy definitely was an innovator and he changed the game. While he was not the first rapper releasing mixtapes, he was the first to release them online. In addition, Soulja Boy was the first rapper to make money on the internet. Now, most rappers make most of their money from the internet and the streaming. Even with the vlogging, Soulja Boy was the first rapper doing this, and now rappers make more money from just doing YouTubing.

Soulja Boy gets very defensive, when people claim to be the first rapper to do something that he was the first to do. As a result, when rappers start mentioning their accomplishments, they jokingly bring Soulja up. However, Soulja Boy was clearly serious about his disdain for Lil Yachty and Drake. First, he called into question Yachty’s sexuality, while showing off stacks of cash. After that, he dissed Yachty for saying he was the first rapper to stream on Twitch. He also called Drake out over this.
