Spirit Airlines agents get into physical altercation with customers
Everything with the various airline companies is a mess, right now. Spirit Airlines doesn’t have the best reputation, anyway. However, after this situation, their reputation just got incredibly worse. A dispute between Spirit employees and a mother and daughter duo of customers led to an altercation. The situation got so bad that several people jumped in. In addition, people had to be restrained.
Tensions are high between workers and customers, in America. There are so many lines of division drawn around race, class, and other forms of status. Each side believes that the other has a sense of entitlement. As a result, any time the aforementioned tensions boil over, there ends up being some kind of act of violence.
A mother and daughter were preparing to take a flight, via Spirit Airlines, when they received a surprise baggage charge. According to eyewitnesses, the ladies’ baggage was too big for the plane. In order to carry the baggage, the women were to pay a higher fee. However, the daughter attempted to board the flight without paying. As a result, Spirit employees stepped in, leading to a huge altercation.
