Initially, she was a fan favorite among Black sports viewers. A good-looking, attractive, Black woman, Andrews replaced Rachel Nichols, who was accused of making racist statements. However, much of Andrews’ personal life and commentary turned the Black community against her. In the wake of the Josh Giddey situation, Malika has taken a lot of hate, including from Dez Bryant. As a result, Stephen A. has come to her defense.

Stephen A. Smith is unarguably the biggest name on ESPN. He’s been with the company since 2004. In that span of time, he’s become their leading commentator. Through his career, Stephen A. has always spoken his mind. As a result, he’s made countless controversial comments. His take on Ime Udoka’s situation didn’t sit well with Malika Andrews.
