“Ellen” DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss passes away due to suicide

Fans on social media are starting their day to some very tragic news. Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who was known for being a DJ on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, has died, after an apparent suicide. Stephen had been a DJ on the show from 2014, all the way up until the show officially ended, this past May.

According to TMZ, LAPD initially stated that Stephen’s wife Allison Holker was concerned on Tuesday, due to Stephen leaving home without his car. She revealed that that wasn’t like him to do so.

As a result, paramedics went on to receive a call around 11:15AM, as Stephen was there. This call was made due to the DJ suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Boss was only 40-years-old.

Allison Holker has since released a statement to TMZ, regarding the tragic passing of Stephen.

“Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. To say he left a legacy would be an understatement, and his positive impact will continue to be felt. I am certain there won’t be a day that goes by that we won’t honor his memory. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”

DeGeneres has also just taken to Instagram, to pay homage to Stephen. She explained how she’s heartbroken and will miss him, as well as him being filled with pure love and light.
