SZA says “S.O.S.” album will be out in December

Fans have been waiting for a new album from SZA, for a very long time. Her previous project came way back in June 2017, which was the release of her debut studio album, “Ctrl.” That went on to debut at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, as it was led by the smash hit, “The Weekend.” SZA also collaborated with Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, and more, on Ctrl. The deluxe edition was also finally released this summer, to celebrate its 5-year anniversary.

However, SZA has been hinting at her sophomore album finally coming soon. Two weeks ago, she released her highly anticipated “Shirt” single, as well as the video for it. A week ago, SZA also put out a “PSA” video, which previewed a new song, and hinted at her “S.O.S.” album coming.

In a new interview with Billboard, SZA now says that S.O.S. is coming in December. But, she did emphasize that she is feeling stress to meet this deadline.

“I feel like music, in this capacity, I don’t see longevity. I like to create, I like to write, I like to sing, and I like to share. But I don’t know if chasing after superstardom or whatever I’m supposed to be doing right now is sustainable for me or for anybody. I’ma take a good swing at it, and I’ma give ’em my absolute best.”
