SZA says she is on crutches after falling out of her bed

Last night, SZA took home her first Grammy award. This was for Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance. The award went to their 2021 “Kiss Me More” collaboration, which was Doja’s first single of 2021, and one of the biggest records of the year. Kiss Me More went on to appear on Doja’s third studio album, “Planet Her,” that summer. That project also dominated 2021, as it spent three consecutive weeks at number two on the Billboard 200 chart.

Doja and SZA had a great moment on stage at the Grammys, as they celebrated Kiss Me More’s success. This single also set set the record in February, as the longest-charting all-female collaboration in Billboard Hot 100 history. It originally peaked at number three on the Hot 100. This Grammy win was also the first Grammy for Doja.

At the Grammys, fans also noticed that SZA was in crutches. After the ceremony, she finally addressed to Billboard, why this is the case. She revealed that this was simply a case of her falling out of bed the wrong way, the day before the Grammys.

“It’s very funny because I fell out a bed right before it was time to leave and get ready for this. Like the day before, but that’s the way it goes. Everything awesome in my life has always come with something like very random, but it just adds to the energy.”
