SZA says some fans have ignored certain versatile songs on her new “SOS” album, to make it seem that she only makes “sad girl music”

SZA says people think she only makes “sad girl music”

This past weekend, SZA’s new “SOS” album officially debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. This was SZA’s first number one album, as it sold an impressive 315,000 units in its first week. It also had the biggest R&B streaming week ever.

SOS was led by singles such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U” and “Shirt.” 23 songs were available, aa SZA also collaborated with Travis Scott, Phoebe Bridgers, Don Toliver, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. However, some features didn’t end up making the album, such as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Billie Eilish, Bad Bunny, and more.

SZA also showed plenty of versatility on SOS, by creating rap, pop, and even a rock record. However, she has now taken to Twitter to say that she believes that many people are ignoring those, to focus on her supposedly making “sad girl” music.

“Ignoring songs like Sos, Psa,concieted, low, forgiveless, seek n destroy, notice me, or ex pack . To pretend I only make sad girl music is dumb.”

However, many other fans have been applauding for the different variety of records that SZA included on SOS. These definitely displayed her talents as an artist, and showed why she’s one of the biggest in the industry. SZA will also venture on her “SOS” North American Tour, starting in February.
