SZA’s “Blind” reaches platinum eligibility
Since December, SZA has been seeing massive success with her new sophomore album, “SOS.” This was initially released on December 9, and went on to become her first number one album, on the Billboard 200 chart. SOS also went on to spend its first seven weeks at that top spot. In total, SOS spent 10 weeks at number one. It was led by hits such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U,” “Shirt,” and “Kill Bill.” SOS was a long time coming, as it was SZA’s first project released, since June 2017. At the time, she put out her debut studio album, “Ctrl,” which peaked at number three on the Billboard 200.
Therefore, SZA also had various other gems on SOS. This included “Blind.” As a result, it has now reached over 1 million units sold, in the US, according to Chart Data. This makes it eligible for platinum eligibility.
SZA also recently wrapped up her SOS North American Tour, which concluded last month. 18 dates were available in total, with the tour finishing up with two straight shows in Inglewood, CA, at the Kia Forum. The tour posted major numbers in revenue, as it’s reported to have grossed over $34.5 million. $1.9 million was also generated for every show.
