SZA’s “SOS” album spends second straight week at number one in US

SZA’s “SOS” spends another week at number one in US

Over a week ago, SZA released her highly anticipated sophomore album, “SOS.” This was led by hit singles such as “Good Days,” “I Hate U” and “Shirt.” The album contained 23 songs in total, as SZA also collaborated with stars such as Don Toliver, Travis Scott, Phobe Bridgers, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard.

SOS went on to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart last week, which also marked SZA’s first number one album. It sold 318,000 units, over the course of that week. Now, SOS continues to remain on top.

According to Chart Data, SZA is spending another week at number one in the US, on the Billboard 200 chart. Over the past week, it sold 178,000 units. Taylor Swift’s “Midnights” comes in at second, with 140,000 units. Fans have since loved plenty more records on SOS, such as “Kill Bill,” “Low,” and “Love Language.” SZA tapped into various other genres, such as rap, pop and rock.

Fans had been waiting a very long time for SOS to arrive, as the last project SZA put out, came all the way back in June 2017. That was with her debut studio album, “Ctrl.” That saw a number three debut in the US. SZA went on to officially confirm SOS’ release date, during her appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” earlier this month.

SZA’s “SOS” North American Tour also kicks off on February, in Columbus, OH. It’ll run through late March, where it concludes with two straight shows in Los Angeles.
