Takeoff rumored to have passed away due to shooting in Houston
Over the past nine years, Takeoff has been part one of the most successful groups in hip-hop, Migos. The Atlanta trio soared to superstardom in 2013, with their smash hit single, “Versace,” with Drake. From that point on, they went on to dominate the music industry, for almost a decade.
However, in 2022, Migos has appeared to have broken up. Quavo and Takeoff began to make music together in May, while Offset began making his own solo music. In October, Quavo and Takeoff released their collab “Only Built For Infinity Links” album. That project went on to receive plenty of high praise, on social media. Offset has since released singles such as “54321” and “Code,” featuring Moneybagg Yo.
In the early hours of November 1 though, rumors are now circulating that Takeoff was shot and killed, in Houston. Quavo is rumored to have been in Houston as well, but Takeoff was the one who is shockingly said to have lost his life, in some sort of incident. According to SayCheese, some sources claim that Takeoff died as a result of a dice game gone wrong. This information has yet to officially be confirmed, though.
