As their 2023 list hit social media, fans quickly noticed The Weeknd hit 12 billion streams despite no album release for 2023.
The Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer is one of the most influential figures in modern music. Gaining mainstream recognition for his compilation project Trilogy and debut studio album Kiss Land, his Billboard streak was just starting. That album, included the single “Earned It,” which earned The Weeknd his first Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance.
