The Weeknd is set to take the stage at halftime of Super Bowl LV this Sunday in Tampa. The game features a very exciting matchup as well as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the hometown Buccaneers. KC will be looking to repeat while the Bucs seek their first SB since 2002. Leading up to the big game, The Weeknd is helping local healthcare workers in a major way.

According to TMZ, he’s getting together with Postmates to deliver meals to healthcare workers from Black-owned restaurants. One healthcare facility that the Toronto native already stopped by at was AdventHealth Carrollwood medical facility. Here, he gifted 150 meals from Mama’s Southern Soul Food.

TMZ also added that The Weeknd officially became the first artist to partner up with Postmates to bring national support to Black-owned businesses. This is a very solid move by him as last year, he also gave back in a major way for COVID-19 relief by donating $1 million to MusiCares and frontline workers in Canada.

The Weeknd is also coming off a huge year where his fourth studio album, ‘After Hours,’ became the No. 1 album in the US and reached platinum status. It was led by the No. 1 chart-topping singles, “Blinding Lights” and “Heartless.”
