On Monday, The Weeknd officially revealed that his upcoming fifth studio album, “Dawn FM,” will officially be out on January 7. That came after speculation that he might’ve released Dawn FM on January 3, after a cryptic “wake up at dawn tomorrow” tweet on Sunday.
Now, Weeknd has officially put out the official cover art for Dawn FM. This displays him in a much older form, with grey hair. His IG caption read “Album cover.”
Weeknd put out an official trailer in promotion of Dawn FM, and that also included another one, with a narration from legendary actor, Jim Carrey. On Monday, Carrey also revealed that he listened to the album with Weeknd.
“I listened to Dawn FM with my good friend Abel. @theweeknd last night. It was deep and elegant and it danced me around the room. I’m thrilled to play a part in his symphony. ;^•”
Weeknd’s last album came back in March 2020, with “After Hours.” That was his third consecutive number one album, and Dawn FM is expected to continue that streak.
