Tory Lanez released after having marijuana at Las Vegas airport

Las Vegas was a very busy city as usual, over this past weekend. This included numerous events, such as the NFL Draft, and the Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez boxing match.

Tory Lanez was also in Sin City, but had trouble leaving at the airport. According to TMZ, Tory was detained at the airport on Sunday morning, while on his way out of Vegas. Tory was reportedly boarding his flight, but a TSA agent soon discovered marijuana in his luggage.

Tory was detained, but shortly released after. He couldn’t keep the marijuana either, despite the fact that it is legal in Nevada. The issue there was that it is not legal, federally. Tory could be cited, but that is all the punishment he would likely face.

Tory is reportedly staying in Vegas on Sunday night, and will perform at Drai’s, which is one of the most popular nightclubs in Las Vegas. Many notable rappers & R&B stars have residencies there, such as Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Future, Trey Songz, and more.

Last month, Tory also had to post $350,000 bail. That came after violating a protective order, regarding his 2020 Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. A judge believed that Tory was subliminally speaking about Megan, on social media.
