Tory Lanez speaks on filing motion for new trial on May 8
In December, Tory Lanez’s trial regarding his Megan Thee Stallion 2020 shooting case, finally concluded. The Toronto rapper went on to be convicted of three felonies. Among them were assault with a semi-automatic firearm, discharging a firearm with gross negligence and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm. The conviction was also met with a rant by Tory’s father, outside of the courthouse.
Tory was supposed to be sentenced in January, but that got delayed. As a result, that were soon rescheduled to sometime in March or April, but was postponed once again. However, Tory is filing a motion for a new trial, on May 8.
Meanwhile, Tory has just penned a letter to the Los Angeles District Attorney, on Instagram. This is George Gascon, as Tory emphasized that he never committed the Megan shooting.
Tory added that he’ll be posting the “outrageous and disgusting injustices” used against him by the prosecution, which they did so in order to get the conviction they “desperately” wanted. Tory also posted a video of him speaking through a phone, regarding his thoughts on seeking a new trial.
