Tory Lanez’s requested motion to post bail has been denied again

Tory Lanez is again denied motion to post bail

In August, Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison, for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. This came as a result of the Toronto rapper being convicted of all three felony counts, in December 2022. However, Tory still decided to pen an open letter to his fans after his sentencing, where he still maintained his innocence.

Meanwhile, Tory has since been filing another motion to be granted an opportunity to post bail. However, that is not happening now either, as he has been denied again, according to legal reporter Meghann Cuniff.

According to court documents, the “Appellant has not shown that the superior court unjustifiably denied relief.” Furthermore, the order ruled that Tory “currently stands convicted of a violent felony, which is a factor a court shall consider in determining whether the defendant poses a danger to the community.”

Meanwhile, Tory will remain incarcerated inside North Kern State Prison in Delano, CA. This is located 120 miles from Los Angeles. Moreover, Tory reportedly feared for his life due to the violence here, but has since decided to remain with the general prison population.
