Travis Scott’s “Utopia” surpasses 1 billion Spotify streams
Over the past month, Travis Scott’s “Utopia” album has been dominating the charts. Furthermore, this weekend also marked the fourth straight week that the album remained atop the Billboard 200 chart. Utopia is also Travis’ third consecutive number one album, over the last eight years.
Meanwhile, Utopia continues to break even more streaming milestones. According to Chart Data, this project has just surpassed 1 billion Spotify streams. This comes after Travis broke the all-time record for most monthly listeners for a rapper in Spotify history.
Utopia contained 19 new songs, including plenty of star-studded collaborations. Among the artists that were featured were SZA, Drake, 21 Savage, Rob49, The Weeknd, and much more. SZA and Drake continue to be frequent collaborators of Travis, since 2016.
In addition to Utopia, Travis is also reportedly venturing on his Circus Maximus Tour, this fall. This is named after one of the songs on Utopia, the film he released on the day of the album, as well as the venue that he performed at in Rome, Italy, earlier this month. The first date is said to take place on September 25, in Chicago.
