Instrumental in New York’s recent turnaround is Troy Ave, he is one of the biggest players out here and he knows it. After doing the mixtape thing for a while, Troy Ave decided he would go ahead and drop an album. Rightfully, Troy Ave chose to name his album, New York City: The Album.
Already, Troy Ave has three major guests lined up in Raekwon, N.O.R.E., and Prodigy on the album. They appear on the title track, “New York City,” which is also the first single. Troy Ave invited MTV to go behind the scenes with him for the filming of the video in Brooklyn.
Troy Ave recently announced the release date for New York City on Twitter, but he made a bigger show of it on Instagram tonight. There are some who probably already have the information on the release date. But, Troy Ave will release New York City in three weeks, November 4.
