Over the past few weeks, Hip Hop Vibe has interviewed quite a few Chicago artists and one thing is clear, this scene is full of diversity. Looking back on it, Chicago was always like this, because for every Common, there was a Twista, and then a Kanye West. But, this new scene has a much different energy and vibe to it.

Twista is now considered a veteran on the Chicago hip hop scene, taking the role of an elder while guys like Chief Keef do their thing. In the midst of all this, Twista is still making music. As more people have tuned into Chicago, they have realized he is a musical genius and they are checking him out.

Sway Calloway recently hit Chicago for Chicago Week at his Shade 45 show, “Sway in the Morning.” All the big name Chicago rappers came through and talked with him for his show. Twista stopped through and he spoke on how the Chicago scene has changed, advising Chief Keef, and his past working with Jay-Z.
