Given the way Lucious (Terrence Howard) was portrayed during the early run of “Empire,” it was hard to imagine him as a child with parents. Early on, it was explained that the Black Panthers murdered his father. But, his mother was never touched on.
In early season two, Lucious thought often of his mother when Andre (Trai Byers) would have his episodes. Here, the world saw how Lucious’ mother (Kelly Rowland) shaped his outlook on life. But, it was all proven to be a lie, after Leah (Leslie Uggams) turned up alive.
Tonight, Andre brought Leah back from the home and reintroduced her to Lucious aka Dwight. This shook Lucious, as the rest of the family was in shock, but he and Leah are forging an odd bond, as she continues calling him Dwight and he continues correcting her. The fans on Twitter have had a lot to say about this entire ordeal.
