Instrumental in the return of Los Angeles hip hop has been Tyga. Recently, Tyga has faced questions of if he is really from Compton and where his stage name originates. But, this has not hindered his popularity, which has been growing out of control since the early parts of 2011.
Tyga was one of the biggest debuts of 2012, though he was overlooked by fellow newcomers, Kendrick Lamar, Meek Mill, and 2 Chainz. Despite the backlash, Young Money still has a lock on the game. Adding Tyga helped fill the void on the West Coast and he made plans to quickly follow his debut up.
In the closing weeks of 2012, Tyga announced his sophomore album. Hotel California is the name of the new album and originally Tyga planned to release the album on March 19. Instead, Tyga was forced to delay the album due to sample issues, to April 9, so he released the official cover today.
