Usher’s streaming numbers soar after Super Bowl announcement
Last weekend, Usher had the internet on fire, after announcing that he’d perform at the upcoming Super Bowl, in Las Vegas. Furthermore, this was done in a commercial that Usher and Kim Kardashian had done together. Moreover, Usher also revealed that his first album since 2016, will be arriving on Super Bowl Sunday. This is “Coming Home.”
Meanwhile, Usher is also seeing a huge spike in the streaming of his music, in the aftermath of the Super Bowl Halftime Show announcement. According to TMZ, a 16% overall increased occurred, between Sunday and Monday. The most streamed song as of late has been “Good Good” with Summer Walker and 21 Savage, which was released in August. That accumulated 1 million more streams, and accounted for 5% of these additional streams.
Moreover, Usher’s previous classics also posted more big numbers. Among them were for “Yeah!” at 962,000 streams, “My Boo” at 527,000 streams, and “DJ Got Us Fallin in Love” at 525,000 streams.
This also comes after Usher has been winning big with his “My Way” Las Vegas residency concerts, this year. The final 12 dates in Vegas will be concluded this fall, as he is also performing in Paris now, and in early October.
