Classic albums are rare gems that music lovers can’t seem to ever let go of. One album in particular that still has a hold on r&b music is Usher’s 2004 Confessions album. Although fans speculate Usher was sharing his personal business, he assures the world the album was all about Jermaine Dupri.
Usher is a true generational talent, with a career surpassing thirty years. Arguably quoted as the “King of r&b”, his legacy involves multiple number one singles, countless awards, and memorable performances. This year he’s already made more historic moments with his performance at the Super Bowl. He followed up with the release of his ninth studio album Coming Home in February. Usher’s Coming Home Tour will also kick off this Summer in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia in August.
Despite all of Usher’s outstanding accomplishments, his album Confessions will always remain iconic. That album contained singles like “Burn”, “Yea” and “Caught Up”, all of which topped Billboard charts. During Usher’s interview he speaks on the creative process with Poo Bear and other greats that helped shape his sound.
