Victor Wembanyama drops 38 points in Spurs win over Suns

Victor Wembanyama has single-handedly put the San Antonio Spurs back on the map. A couple of nights ago, Wemby had the chance to compete against his idol, Kevin Durant. Not only did he get to meet KD, but also, Wemby came out with the win. In the second matchup, KD’s Suns were expected to perform better. Instead, they got 38 points from Wemby, as the Spurs got a dominating win in Phoenix.

Victor Wembanyama is already one of the best players in the NBA. In only his fifth career game, he already has had a 38 point game. Also, the Spurs are winning games against contenders already. This season, the Suns have expectations of returning to the NBA Finals. When they beat Golden State in the season opener, they looked like contenders. Now, it looks like it was just an off night for the Warriors.

Victor Wembanyama seems to only be getting better with each game. Also, the Spurs are getting wins over contenders. As Wemby gets better, the Spurs will, too. So, there is a possibility that San Antonio ends up entering the conversation about title contenders in the West. Wemby scored a career-high 38 points, as the Spurs took a crushing 133-121 win against the Suns, in Phoenix.
