Coming into 2018, the story of the year was Cardi B, and how she took over the game. Many people noted that she, along with many others, managed to emerge while Drake was on hiatus. Drake took the whole game over, upon his 2018 return.
With “God’s Plan,” Drake delivered the first hit of the year, and then he gave BlocBoy JB a hit. When the spring came, he dropped another chart-topping single, “Nice For What,” and then Pusha T dissed him. He came back hard with “Duppy,” but Pusha came with “Adidon.”
Vince Staples recently sat down with Joe Budden for “Pull Up” and they talked about some of everything. But, what stuck out to people were his comments on Drake and Pusha T. It turns out, Vince is that rare person who gives Drake’s “Duppy” the win over Pusha’s “Adidon.”
