It seems like basketball fans have waited on this matchup ever since the Golden State Warriors started dominating the league. Back when they were a young team, the Warriors and Spurs actually played a series. A lot of people knew they had heart when they pushed San Antonio to 6.
Since then, pretty much, the Golden State Warriors have been more than a team on the rise. Two times in three seasons, the Warriors won 67 games. The other season, last year, the Warriors set a record for wins in a season at 73 and got robbed of the championship.
Consistency is what the San Antonio Spurs bring, now with Kawhi Leonard as their leader. Whether or not he plays remains a mystery, but LaMarcus Aldridge proved he’s not to be slept on, him or Jonathan Simmons. But, fans still feel that combination of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant gets San Antonio out of here in 6, but say the Spurs might take Game 1.
