Dalvin Gadson is a 29-year-old Army National Guard veteran. When he was pulled over by the police, it began as a routine traffic stop. However, it ended with Gadson on the ground as law enforcement physically attacked him. It all began when the police accused Gadson of smelling like illegal substances, which led to them asking him to get out of his vehicle. When Gadson was informed that he would be handcuffed, after he exited his car, he asked why. As a result, things turned hostile.

This situation took place back in October, as Dalvin Gadson was originally stopped for an improperly displayed license tag, and car failure. A situation where Gadson expected to be protected ended with him being physically hurt. Gadson questioned why the officers intended to place him under arrest. After that, he said the officers pulled him out of the car, and struck him in his face repeatedly. Gadson claims he was left unconscious, after the attack. The law firm representing him released a statement.

“Dalvin Gadson was a homeless veteran living out of his car as he worked to reenlist and continue serving his country. But all these officers saw was a black man and they beat him for it, smiling for the camera as he lay on the ground bleeding,” Daniels said pointing to the pictures. “They beat him mercilessly and now he’s afraid to go outside and the VA can’t see him to treat his injuries and PTSD until January.”
