White high school student in Minnesota raps about wanting a holocaust for Black people

White Minnesota student wants holocaust for Black people

Yesterday, a disturbing video was shared among students at Virginia High School, in Minnesota. To quote Nas’ “If I Ruled The World,” he said “they want us all gone, eventually.” It’s hard to listen to what this child said, in her rap song, and think differently. For whatever reason, a female junior at Virginia Secondary School, decided to record and release a racist rap song. Not only was it racist, but she went as far as to say she wanted a holocaust, specifically intended for Black people.

Tensions between races, particularly Black and White people, have gotten dramatically worse, over the past decade. In 2020, the George Floyd situation only made matters worse. During that span of time, people made it clear how they really feel about race. In the years since, George Floyd’s name has become synonymous with racial tension. When this girl made her rap, it included an insult to Floyd, who passed away two years ago, in a violent manner.

A journalist shared the video, in its full, raw, form on her Instagram. She opted to keep it explicit to show just what this young lady shared. Yesterday, the video went viral. The girl responsible for the rap performed with a mask over her face. She attends Virginia High School, which is three hours north of the Twin Cities. In the time since, the school superintendent has released a statement, regarding the rap song.

The District does not condone any type of discrimination, bullying, or harassment. Specifically, the District repudiates any use of racist remarks or language by its students. The safety and wellbeing of our students is one of our top priorities, and because of that, the use of racist language is absolutely not allowed as this type of language could interfere with student wellbeing or the educational environment.
