In Alabama, James Clemens High School is making major headlines, right now. An assistant principal was assaulted by a student. As a result, the principal retaliated against the child in self-defense. The situation began with a physical confrontation that took place on the bus. Being an authority figure, the assistant principal was called to put an end to the situation. However, the man ended up being involved, himself. Now he is in the middle of much controversy.
Along with almost every other job that requires being around people, being an educator is one of the toughest jobs in America. The harsh reality is that respect is a thing of the past. No longer to children have respect for adults. As a result, children no longer fear having to go to the principal’s office. Instead, they seemingly look forward to having the chance to disrespect their authority figures. In turn, people are leaving the profession in droves.
Recently, a video went viral of an unnamed assistant principal, in Alabama, trying to put an end to a physical disagreement on a school bus. As the man tried to break it up, a female student intervened, putting her hands on him. As a result, the principal turned his attention to her. When he tried to get her to stop touching him, she bit him. In turn, the principal hit her multiple times. The school superintendent said the man acted in self-defense. Meanwhile, the students on the bus were outraged.
