Jonathan Majors’ assault arrest was for fight with girlfriend

Breakout actor Jonathan Majors is in some legal trouble, after it was reported on Saturday, that he allegedly assaulted a woman. The incident is said to have occurred in the Chelsea area of Manhattan.

Therefore, Majors went on to be arrested on charges of strangulation, assault and harassment. Injuries sustained to the woman include a laceration behind her ear, redness and marks to her face. As a result, Majors went on to be taken to jail, as he is now said to be out of custody. However, he and his team denied any involvement.

Meanwhile, more information is now surfacing about who the woman is, that Majors allegedly assaulted. According to TMZ, this is his girlfriend, as they got into an argument, in a taxi. At the time, the two were returning to their home, after visiting a bar in Brooklyn.

As a result, Majors’ girlfriend supposedly saw him texting another woman, and that’s what caused the argument to escalate. Soon, he supposedly grabbed her hand, and slapped her. That then turned into the actor choking her. At the end of the incident, both went on to sleep at separate places. The arrest of Majors took place on Saturday morning, after his girlfriend reported him to police.

This all comes after Majors starred in “Creed III,” this month. This is alongside Michael B. Jordan, as it was one of the most anticipated films of 2023.
