YFN Lucci rejects plea deal of serving 17 years in prison

YFN Lucci turns down plea deal of 17 years in prison
Reports surfaced this week by Akademiks, that YFN Lucci was offered a plea deal of 17 years in prison, in his RICO case. However, it was unclear whether that was valid, and if Lucci considered or denied this offer.
Meanwhile, according to TMZ, Lucci did deny this plea deal. This comes after Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis offered a 20-year sentence, as 17 of them would be served in prison. The charges that Lucci would have had to plea guilty to are felony murder, racketeering, aggravated assault and violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act.
Furthermore, Lucci’s attorneys Drew Findling and Gabe Banks went on to label the plea deal offer as “absurd.” DA Willis was also called out for “newer, high-profile cases that have completely monopolized the Court’s resources” her “utter inability to prosecute complex cases.”
“Despite the obstacles consistently placed in the way of Mr. Bennett’s constitutional right to a speedy and fair trial, we continue to be ready and prepared to defend these false allegations.”
Lucci was initially arrested in 2021 for a murder case, where he was allegedly involved in a drive-by shooting in his hometown of Atlanta, in 2021. One of his associates was reportedly shot in the car, and Lucci threw his body out. In April 2021, the huge RICO indictment against Lucci also came down. That came after previously being able to post bond in the murder case, but Lucci violated terms of that. Lucci’s RICO trial was initially supposed to start on January 9, the same day as rival Young Thug’s. However, both of those have since been delayed.
