YFN Lucci’s RICO trial gets postponed
YFN Lucci has been incarcerated since the spring of 2021, as he was arrested for a murder case, and a few months later, was indicted on a massive RICO case. That was a 75-page, 108-count indictment. Lucci was initially able to post bond for the RICO case, but violated conditions of the release. As a result, the RICO indictment soon arrived, as well.
Lucci was supposed to stand trial on January 9, but that has now been delayed, according to Atlanta investigative journalist George Chidi. Therefore, this was reportedly confirmed by Lucci’s lawyer, as no new date has been set, as of now.
However, Lucci also denied the opportunity to be labeled as a witness in Young Thug’s YSL RICO case, as that trial is taking place on January 9. One of the YSL members, Antonio “Obama” Sumlin recently took a plea deal, as he explained that he sought permission from Young Thug to kill Lucci, in jail. Lucci and Thug have been feuding since 2015, as Thug even got in trouble for subliminally rapping about shooting at Lucci’s mother.
Both Lucci and Thug have been two of ATL’s biggest new artists, since the mid-2010s. Each has been able to scored platinum records, as well s work with some of the biggest rappers in the industry.
