YG explains how he finally got a feature from Nas, for upcoming “I Got Issues” album [VIDEO]

YG says he has Nas feature on “I Got Issues” album

Last week, YG announced that his sixth studio album, “I Got Issues,” is on the way. This project will officially be released on September 30. I Got Issues is led by singles such as “Toxic,” “Scared Money” featuring Moneybagg Yo and J. Cole, and “Alone,” which was released on Friday.

YG held a listening session for the album in LA this week, and told TMZ which feature he was finally able to land. This is Nas, as YG revealed that he’d been trying to collaborate with the legendary rapper, since his second album.

“When I heard the verse it was crazy. I been tryna get Nas on some sh** since my second album. But it just didn’t happen. He just been showing love since day one. He always supported my sh**. So when I finally got the verse, I was like ‘Finally, f***.'”

“The song that I got him on makes sense, ’cause I’m poppin’ it like I’m ‘God’s Son’ sh**. And that’s like his sh**. So we he did that I was like, yea, timing is everything.”

In August 2021, YG did appear on Nas’ “King’s Disease 2” album. This was on the track “YKTV,” which also featured A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
